Mission
“Vicentia will become an exceptional elementary school where the ownership of learning is the responsibility of all. Through our community’s commitment and collaboration, we all demand students to reach their fullest academic learning potential.”
Motto
“Viking STRONG!”
Welcome to Vicentia Elementary School. Our school is committed to help all students reach their fullest academic learning potential. To provide our students, parents, and teachers the necessary support and maximize our learning opportunities, we are dedicating our school to becoming a Professional Learning Community (PLC).
Since transitioning to a Professional Learning Community, we have provided many new experiences for students and staff. All students receive leveled instruction for 30 minutes, four days per week, during school-wide rotations. We have seen great growth in student achievement since starting these rotations. During our leveled instruction time, we are also able to provide enrichment for our students that are able to demonstrate proficiency on the given standard being addressed.
Another component of being a PLC is providing time for teachers to meet with their colleagues to share and create the best possible instructional practices and to discuss data driven assessments. While teachers are collaborating, students attend a physical education, library, and computer lab rotation on a regular basis.
Our goal is to help all students reach their fullest academic learning potential. With our communication with parents and our Vicentia community, we are proud of the many different accomplishments of our students.
Thank you for your time and dedication to our school!
